Dr. Chiedo Nwankwor is Vice Dean for Education and Academic Affairs and Senior Lecturer at the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), where she also serves as Director of SAIS Women Lead. She has over two decades of experience in higher education, public policy, leadership development, and international affairs. Her teaching and research focus on African politics, gender and governance, leadership, artificial intelligence (AI), and international development.
Dr. Nwankwor has led numerous international research and policy initiatives in development across Africa, Asia, and Latin America, collaborating with governments, multilateral organizations, civil society organizations, and the private sector to advance inclusive leadership and sustainable development. She holds a Ph.D. in Political Science with a specialization in Comparative Politics and Gender and Women’s Studies, and a Master of Arts in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Delaware. She also earned a Master of Arts in Mass Communication and Public Relations from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. Dr. Nwankwor is a frequent speaker on leadership, governance, gender, artificial intelligence, and women’s empowerment.
